Comments Off on Atwater Brewery Plans $15 Million Texas Brewery

What are your opinions on Atwaters latest announcement that they are coming to Texas?

Atwater has been trying to get a facility in Texas for years now. For whatever reason, they keep falling through. Will this be the one that finally comes to fruition? I believe they were the first out of state brewery attempting to garner a Texas location. However, since their search began we have seen Backcountry from Colorado and Oskar Blues both will have facilities before the new Atwater venture opens.

What is your take on breweries expanding to Texas? Will you consider them “locally brewed” even amidst their headquarters being elsewhere? AB InBev has ~ 12 breweries throughout the United States, yet we do not consider them to be “local”.
