Comments Off on Founders announced last week that they are selling a thirty percent stake to San Miguel

So, Founders announced last week that they are selling a thirty percent stake to San Miguel. What kind of ripples is this going to cause? This by definition removes them from the craft brewers guild, a guild that they have been large proponents and supporters of for years.

How will the craft community react to this news? Oddly enough, after three tries to directly post their blog discussing the stake, it won’t allow me to do so. Which makes me wonder if this is why we haven’t seen a huge uproar yet.

They slipped this news the week before Christmas as everyone is distracted as well.

Will this affect their quality? It will surely increase their distribution and sales internationally.

Is it a good move for Founders?
