I have been seeing more and more Texas craft breweries go to cans. This excites me for a number of reasons. But perhaps one of the better reasons that I am enjoying this shift is that Southern Star led the charge.

Events like Chilifest, in Snook are prime examples of the Texas craft market to take charge and listen to consumer demands and TAKE the market niche to the next level. Craft beer is up to 7.8% of total beer sales and these brewers are taking care of their consumers in ways that big beer never will.

Raise a can to those brewers that work so hard to put craft beer into containers that can be taken into concert venues, onto the rivers (always dispose of your refuse responsibly), and into parks.
