Comments Off on No, don’t allow Colorado grocery stores to sell full-strength beer and wine

Here is an interesting take (but not real informative article) on another side of beer vs liquor stores. http://www.denverpost.com/…/no-dont-allow-colorado-grocery-…

Now, I am not sure what the current laws are, but if I had to guess, it would be that you can’t buy beer in Colorado at a grocery store.

Now, I personally found it annoying in Tennessee that we had to go to a liquor store to buy wine, however I see the point behind it. I am all for small business, and am actually surprised that Colorado has their laws currently written to reflect a pro-small business philosophy.

This gets into blue laws a little bit on the theory side however. If you are only allowed to buy full strength (not stated in the article, but I am guessing over 3.2%?) beer at a liquor store, are these stores allowed to sell on Sundays?

Do any of my readers live in Colorado? Can someone shed some light on this?
