I am not only a big fan of Strange Land Brewery, but also of weird and uncommon styles of beer. I have not had their gruit yet (which makes me sad) but I aim to get a glass of it during my next trip to the brewery. If you have not had the chance to try Strange Land then you need to change some things around and get your hands on their beer. From Ploughshare to Athol Brose. Excellent beers all around.

That being said, they are still a new brewery, and as such they can definitely improve on their consistency. I’ve had some excellent Ploughshare, and I’ve had some that was less than stellar. But the good far outweighs the less than stellar.
